Alexandra attended cosmetology school at Pivot Point in Evanston, IL. then worked and gained great experience behind the chair as a hairdresser in Chicago. When she and her husband were both ready to start a family they moved home, closer to family. She started salon 804 with Risha and Bethany. Alex now has 4 beautiful children and lives on Old Mission Peninsula. She enjoys traveling to advanced classes to learn the latest techniques for color and haircuts. Who wants to spend time fussing with your hair when we live in Northern Michigan!? She believes we should use the texture we have in our hair and create the best shape and style we can with what we have.
RISHA MAGUIRE | OWNER
Risha is a graduate of Elk Rapids High School. Following graduation in 2003 from Traverse Bay Area Cosmetology, Risha began her career at Signature Salon. Seven years of experience, practice, and understanding shaped her into the artist she is today. Her enthusiasm, creativity, and love for hair make her a superior stylist. December, 2009, Risha decided to fulfill her dream and open salon 804. Risha offers precision hair cutting, color, styling, and facial waxing. She continues her education yearly, attending seminars in Grand Rapids and Chicago, keeping in touch with today’s up to date modern styles.
BETHANY SMITH | OWNER
Bethany is a native of Traverse City, although her passion for hair moved her to Boca Raton, FL for Boca Beauty College. After her training, she moved home and graduated from Traverse Bay Area Cosmetology followed by her time at Signature Salon. After 7 amazing years, Bethany's passion and creativity for hair design led her to opening salon 804. Her enthusiasm, precision in hair cutting and color aptitude helps all of Bethany's clients look and feel their best. She specializes in hair cutting, coloring and facial waxing.
DEVON ANKERSON | STYLIST & BRIDAL COORDINATOR
Devon is a Traverse City native and has been enjoying her career as a hairstylist for the last eight years. Since graduating from Traverse City Beauty College, continuing education has been a priority of hers as she keeps up with the industry and ever evolving trends.
While she enjoys every aspect of hair, she specializes in dimensional color, precision hair cutting, waxing and bridal styling.

AMANDA LAUTNER | BRIDAL COORDINATOR
Amanda is a professional hair stylist and colorist. She grew up in Traverse City and also graduated at the Traverse City Beauty College. Amanda has 7 years of experience. Amanda specializes in highlights, color and cuts. She is certified two types of hair extension methods such as Weft and Tape Ins.
Amanda also has 7 years experience in the world of bridal. She has a special vision for long-lasting applications and trends that are carefully chosen to match the client’s dream.
Building a strong bond and trust is very important to Amanda. She is always trying to understand each one’s needs and requirements, and strives to make them feel beautiful.
HEATHER SHANER | STYLIST
Licensed since 2001, she has extensive on-going education and certifications; including Vidal Sassoon precision cutting, Tony & Guy hair coloring and many more! Heather was awarded People’s Choice Best Hairstylist in Northern Michigan twice and won Red Hot Best Stylist of Northern Michigan in 2014.
Specializing in blonding, dimensional color & precision haircutting, Heather’s upbeat and genuine personality match her talent and skill. ANGIE BIELSKI | STYLIST
Angie graduated from Traverse Bay Area Cosmetology in 1995. She began her career at JCPenny Styling Salon where she was employed for 10 years. During this time she had received monthly training with hair cutting, perming, color tinting, highlighting and product knowledge. In 2005 she became self-employed and still continues her education to this day. Over the years Angie has learned many master stylist skills, she has learned that consulting first with her clients is priority one. She can also read what the client needs, wants or definitely doesn't want. She highly enjoys her career and the people she works with. She especially loves color tinting, highlighting, haircuts, perms and facial waxing.
SHANNON GRIFFIS | STYLIST
Shannon is a graduate of Douglas J. Aveda Institute in Grand Rapids, MI, she graduated in 2008. She is furthering her education every chance she gets
She enjoys going to classes to keep up on all the new trends. She loves the inspiration she receives when she learns something new. She specializes in coloring, haircuts, hair extensions, and formal styling. Balayage and being a blonde specialist are her strong areas! She loves creating a new look. Shannon is Bellami extension certified in weft, ktip, l tip and tape in.

Martha is a graduate from the Douglas J Aveda Institute in Grand Rapids. She has a passion for layered haircuts, dimensional color and makeup application. She loves learning new techniques and expanding her knowledge on cosmetology.

Samantha is a Northern Michigan native, having grown up in and graduated from Elk Rapids High School. She now calls Traverse City home. She graduated Traverse City Beauty College earning their Ace Grant Award for grades and attendance.
Sam loves hair cutting, styling, coloring, and waxing. Her keen eye for detail, ability to listen to her client’s wants while offering honest feedback and realistic expectations set her apart. She finds great reward in seeing a client see themselves as beautiful!
